  • Regen notes that TfL has dropped funding for the DLR extension to Dagenham Dock from its business plan.
  • TfL has awarded a contract to produce an iPhone/Blackberry widget, giving Londoners access to schedules, maps etc on their digital devices. The widget will be available for download by the end of the month [Brand Republic].
  • Stansted and London City airports have both been granted permission to increase the numbers of flights and passengers they handle. Stansted will increase from 241,000 flights to 264,000, and London City from 80,000 to 120,000 [The Times].
  • A 24 hour strike is underway on the buses operated by Metroline and First drivers [BBC].
