London Mayoral Debate: Tonight

Election 2008Editor

From the PA:

The three main contenders to be the next mayor of London have come face to face for the first televised debate of the election campaign.

Current mayor Ken Livingstone, Conservative candidate Boris Johnson and Liberal Democrat Brian Paddick were present for the filming of ITV's London Talking.

The show, hosted by Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq, will be shown on ITV on Thursday night. While Mr Johnson and former police chief Mr Paddick said they offered voters to prospect of change, Mr Livingstone stuck with the successes of his eight years in the role.

LondonUnlocked will be live-blogging the areas of the debate which touch on transport from 11pm tonight.
