Transport Briefing examines the proposed East London Line 2 project, which would extend the current line to Clapham Junction. This project was shelved in the need to divert funds for the approved CrossRail project (which passed through the House of Commons last night). That decision deprives London of a much needed cross-city route. Now it appears that that there is the possibility that TfL could give the project a reprieve.
