You are invited to join the Mayor of London at a major conference to debate the social and economic challenges facing a London of the future. The Mayor will be joined by Sir Howard Davies, Chair of the Airports Commission, and a host of other senior speakers, to consider how best to respond to the Capital's rapidly growing population that is set to reach 10 million by 2013. Against a background of the debate about how and where to expand London's airport capacity, the conference will explore the role of an airport in generating and supporting growth and regeneration.
The conference will also consider:
- How transport infrastructure can stimulate house building
- What business needs to support growth
- The role of the housing industry
- What London can learn from other global cities
This event will be of particular interest to those with a background in the following areas: Borough planning; economic development & regeneration; housing; infrastructure planning; and transport.
