A life-sized mock-up of the 'New Bus for London' has been unveiled.
It emits 40% less CO2 than conventional diesel buses, and 15% less than the hybrid buses already on London's streets. All whilst making a lot less noise and using far less fuel.
It's spacious, but only seats 87 people compared to the Bendy Bus' 150.
It's a manifesto pledge and looks to be delivered ahead of the election. TfL are proud, and the Mayor pleased.
But in an age of austerity, how will this go down with voters? What, might they say, was wrong with our old buses? Or might they embrace it - a grand new icon of London?
Who knows? It sure looks pretty though...
