Despite the recent meeting between LU and the Unions, the RMT have voted in favour of industrial action short of a strike.
88% of members were in favour of the motion on a turnout of over 50%, a figure that will worry both the Mayor and Government given their recent talk of there needing to be a 50% turnout for any action to be valid and go ahead.
This row is separate to the ongoing dispute over job cuts which has so far led to two 24 hour strikes.
Both parties are now considering proposals put forward by Acas before declaring their intentions. TfL continue to maintain that LU will remain a safe and that any job losses will be voluntary. The RMT wants any discussion of job losses off the table before they continue.
